Overview:
The Robert L. Mendenhall Scenic Overlook is a quick stop (approx. 15-30 min) along Southbound US-93 / I-11 with a nice view of a portion of Lk. Mead.
Although this stop "should not be considered" a destination on its own, it does provide the aforementioned view and an educational opportunity for motorist traveling to other destinations.
The overlook itself is a "formal" pullout (no water / restroom facilities) with views and informational signage of various subject matter as listed below.

Information / Tips:
The Robert L. Mendenhall Scenic Overlook is only accessible from Southbound US-93 / I-11 and would make a great stopover (approx. 15-30 min) for travelers heading to Hoover Dam, Boulder City or Arizona.
Bring plenty of water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable shoes.
Dogs are permitted (on leash - please pick up after your pet).
Make sure you have a full tank of gas and a fully pressurized spare tire.
Don't forget your camera.

Directions:
From the I-15 (Las Vegas Fwy) interchange with W. Flamingo Rd. proceed South on I-15 for just over 3 miles to Exit #34.
Exit onto the Exit #34 offramp, continue Southerly then Easterly (utilizing the left 2 lanes) eventually merging onto Eastbound I-215.
Travel Eastbound on I-215 for 10 miles+- taking Exit #1 (stay in right lane) toward Boulder City (US-93 / I-11).
Travel Southbound on US-93 / I-11 for 18 miles+- (near mile-marker #4) to the signed turnoff (just beyond an overhead wildlife corridor bridge) for the Robert L. Mendenhall Scenic Overlook.
Note:
The Robert L. Mendenhall Scenic Overlook is only accessible from Southbound US-93 / I-11.
After visiting the overlook all travelers must continue Southbound on US-93 / I-11.
From the scenic overlook if traveling to Hoover Dam, Boulder City or returning to Vegas travel 2 miles+- Southbound on US-93 / I-11 and take exit #2 (US-93 Business / Boulder City / Hoover Dam).
For travelers continuing to Arizona do not exit the freeway.
Once on the exit #2 offramp continue to a Traffic Circle and follow directional signs towards your destination.
